The Company Signals bot
Company Signals reads public job-board endpoints once a day and stores counts. This page says who is asking and how to stop it.

What it fetches
- The public posting endpoints that Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby offer for each company's own board (
boards-api.greenhouse.io,api.lever.co,api.ashbyhq.com). Those endpoints need no login and are meant for career pages. - The daily capture never opens a company's own website, never logs in, never solves a challenge and never follows a link out of the board.
- Now and then a small accuracy check opens the homepage, and a careers page it links, of a few dozen companies to see whether they link to their board. It reads robots.txt first and fetches at most three pages per company.
How often and how politely
- Once per board per UTC day, starting about 10:30 UTC.
- It reads robots.txt on every host first and obeys it, including Lever's
Crawl-delay: 1. Each host gets at most one request every half second, and at least one second on Lever. - On a 429 or 403 answer it backs off and honours Retry-After; after five refusals in a row it leaves that host alone for the rest of the run. A challenge page ends the run for that host.
What it keeps
The number of open roles, the count per department, and a short hash of the set of job ids so a change can be detected. No job title, description, location, salary or person is stored.
Opt out
Send POST /v1/removal with {"host":"your-company.com"}. The company disappears from the API at once and is not captured for publication again. You can also write to reese@lastminutedealshq.com.
