What is counted

For each company, the number of roles listed as open on its public Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby board at the time of the daily capture, and the same count per department. Greenhouse counts come from the departments endpoint, Lever from the postings list, Ashby from the posting API (listed roles only). An answer that is not in the shape the board publishes is recorded as a failed capture, never as zero.

How a board is matched to a company

A job board does not say which website it belongs to, so each board is checked before it is published:

A board that matches no company, or matches two, is still captured every day but is not published until it can be checked; its history then appears with the rest once it verifies. Every response says how its match was made. As a result Ashby companies are well covered and Greenhouse companies are under-represented. Ambiguous names (several companies called the same) stay unpublished rather than guessed.

Held drops

When a board falls to zero, or loses 80 percent or more, after a normal day, it is read a second time. If it stays low, that day's row is held back for one day and published only if the next capture confirms it.
